Micromeritics to Sponsor World Conference on Carbon

Micromeritics is participating as a "Gold" sponsor in Carbon2010 - the Annual World Conference on Carbon. The American Carbon Society will hold Carbon2010 in the United States at the Conference Center and Inn at Clemson University, located on the shores of beautiful Lake Hartwell in the foothills of South Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains.

"From Nano to Macro" is the theme for Carbon2010. "Even as advances in the nanoforms of carbon -- graphenes, nanotubes, and fullerenes -- continue to reveal exciting new applications, there has been a resurgence of interest in bulk carbon materials, driven by increased demand in areas such as energy and transportation," said Dr. Mark Thies, Clemson Professor of Chemical Engineering and Conference Chair.

In business since 1962, Micromeritics has provided materials characterization instrumentation and applications support to most of the world's top industrial companies and academic institutions for fundamental research, product development, quality assurance and control, production, and process control applications. Two oral presentations highlighting Micromeritics' recent advances in carbon characterization will be given. In addition to its Gold Sponsorship, Micromeritics will be hosting the Welcome Reception on Sunday evening.
