Kuraray Co., Ltd. (TOKYO:3405) (ISIN:JP3269600007) today announces its first exhibit at the Water Expo, which is to be held from June 29 as part of Singapore International Water Week 2010.
The Company has positioned the creation and expansion of new businesses centered on environmental fields using original technology as a vital management issue, and since establishing the Environmental Business Development and Promotion Division to concentrate the combined strength of the entire Group last April, Kuraray has proceeded to strengthen the water treatment business.
In addition to strengthening businesses such as industrial wastewater treatment/recycling, ultrapure water production/collection and the collection of valuable resources, steady progress is also being made in the development of a ballast water management system contributing to the conservation of the marine ecosystem. This has led to the decision to strengthen our communication to the world by having an exhibit at the expo in Singapore, which is an international focal point for information on water-related businesses.
