While many building material manufacturers are closing down or cutting back in this slowing economy, Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation charges ahead with two new production lines in its Nashville, Tennessee and Rock Island, Illinois branches.
Metal Sales is one of the nation's most respected manufacturers of quality metal roof and wall panels. The new lines will produce both 12" and 16" Image II, a popular standing rib metal roofing system for commercial, residential and architecturally innovative structures.
"It's all about adding value," explains Steve Letnich, Metal Sales' VP of Sales and Marketing. "When we can reduce costs and delivery time to those who install our products, that makes them more competitive in this challenging market."
According to Nashville General Manager Gary Hecker, "We'll be able to ship energy-efficient Image II panels more quickly. It's just another customer-focused service we offer here at Metal Sales."
The Nashville branch serves Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, as well as parts of Kentucky and Georgia. Image II joins the seven profiles currently manufactured in the facility, including Classic Rib and 5V-Crimp panels.
Rock Island General Manager Nate Blommer agrees. "Customers in Illinois, Iowa and southern Wisconsin will find lead time on Image II cut in half, thanks to this new production line. Shorter lead times allow our dealers to be more responsive to their customers, which adds value."
For nearly half a century, Metal Sales has been an industry leader in light gauge and agricultural roofing and wall panels. The increased availability of Image II is part of a strategy to expand the firm's market share in architectural, commercial, residential and retrofit markets.
Architects appreciate the Image II's classic look and unique design applications, as well as the product's numerous ENERGY STAR® listed colors. Builders and Developers prefer its enhanced appeal, affordable cost, and easy installation, with pre-fabricated trims and accessories factory-cut to the nearest inch. This makes Image II attractive for both new construction and re-roofing projects. Commercial and Residential Owners choose Image II for its long-lasting beauty and curb appeal, low maintenance, 45-year paint warranty, as well as its superior protection against hail, moisture, rot, insects, fire and high winds. Insurance premiums are usually lower with a weather- and fire-resistant Metal Sales roof.
"The public is starting to recognize the advantages of metal in a big way," said Letnich. "When every dollar counts, the durability and added value of a metal roof become extremely attractive selling points. And when you consider the energy savings, it's easy to see why this is one of the few growth areas in today's market."
