The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) released a new 4-page educational leaflet for potential users of the PM HIP technology during the World PM conference, which took place in Florence, Italy from October 10th to 14th, 2010.
This leaflet provides, at a glance, key features and benefits of the PM HIP technology for the production of Near-Net-Shape, Net-Shape or multilayer metal components, in a wide range of alloys such as stainless steels, nickel-base, cobalt-base or titanium and Metal Matrix Composites.
Powder atomization and Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) processes offer many advantages over conventional forging and casting technologies.
A photo gallery provides concrete examples of the NNS parts produced in many industries such as energy, oil and gas, transportation, science and tooling.
