Fundamentals and Fellows Forum at SPE Antec 2011 to feature Renowned Industry Experts

The annual Fundamentals and Fellows Forum at this year's Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) ANTEC conference will explore topics of critical importance to plastics industry professionals, it was announced today by Lesley Kyle, SPE's senior event manager. ANTEC 2011 will take place May 1-5 in Boston, MA.

Held concurrently with other ANTEC sessions, the half-day Fundamentals and Fellows forum will begin at 8:00 am on Monday, May 2 and consist of the following six presentations:

  • Rheology Tools To Advance Material Development and Processing. H. Henning Winter, National Science Foundation and University of Massachusetts / Amherst
  • Commercial Trends in Polymer Additives and Modifiers. Ernest Coleman, CP Technology.
  • Opportunities and Challenges in Biobased and Biodegradable Plastics. Raj Krishnaswamy, Metabolix, Inc. (Mirel Bioplastics)
  • Radiation and Photo Curing: Concepts and Applications. Vadim Krongauz, Baxter Healthcare
  • Power of a Holistic Approach - Effect of Material, Design, Processing and Tooling on Product Performance. Vikram Bhargava, Motorola, Inc.
  • Thermal Analysis of Polymer Nanocomposites: New Insights Into the Rigid Amorphous Fraction. Peggy Cebe, Tufts University
