Tekra has launched a new film, Marnot Advanced Clear Polyester. The film has been released by the company for the plastic film and the printing sector.
Tekra’s new film has excellent applications in die cutting and embossing. Appliance overlays, nameplates, membrane touch switches, control panels, labels and consumer electronics are general applications of the film. The company offers the new film in 0.007” thickness. It is available in the form of 48”x24” sheets and 49” bulk rolls.
Major advantages of the new plastic film, developed by Tekra, are pencil hardness and resistance to abrasion, as well as chemicals. The new film has the capabilities to protect against dangerous chemicals for consumer product uses. Marnot Advanced possesses “3H” pencil hardness, which is based on TM10.121 Tekra’s test method. The enhanced abrasion resistance characteristic of Marnot Advanced Clear Polyester film makes it a unique product from standard Marnot .
Marnot Advanced film clears all the chemical resistance tests conducted by the company. The tests have been performed for common household and standard industrial chemicals. It also passes the exposure test to Coppertone SPF 70+ sunscreen lotion and spray from Schering Plough. The company’s new plastic film clears another trial with Deep Woods OFF, an insect repellent from SC Johnson.
