AmTopp, a division of Inteplast Group, declared that it has planned to improve the utilization of its acquired plant in Hazleton, Pennsylvania by incorporating two cast film extrusion lines at its plant in Lolita, Texas.
This expansion will allow AmTopp to provide better customer service in the northeastern region of the US and produce 260 million pounds of stretch film per year. The extrusion lines will be Lolita facility’s 9th and 10th cast stretch film extrusion lines.
In addition, AmTopp intends to deploy about five stretch film lines in its Hazleton production facility. AmTopp's stretch film business manufactures various machine wraps and engineered hand films such as the proven maximum stretch engineered, light gauge ‘LoadStar’ range in both machine and hand applications.
The new extrusion lines will be advanced machineries manufacturing ultra-light gauge pallet wrap products. The expansion will allow AmTopp to increase the production of its renowned light gauge ‘LoadStar’ series at reduced production cost, thus improving the company’s competitive edge in the market. The extrusion lines will start production in 2012 second half.
