Industrial Nanotech declared that more number of textile mills is using its Nansulate coatings as a part of their global sustainability initiatives.
The company has an ongoing pilot project with Hanesbrands, an apparel manufacturer headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Hanesbrands will apply the Nansulate coatings to the heat process equipment at its factories.
Coats, a pioneer in industrial threads, yarns and consumer crafts, has pointed out that using Nansulate coatings on heat process equipment at its factories will decrease its worldwide carbon footprint by 2% and steam consumption by 10%. Industrial Nanotech is positive in offering the same benefits to Hanesbrands.
A wide range of textile manufacturers have been using Nansulate coatings to insulate their heat exchangers, steam pipes, dyeing machines and other equipment. With the help of Nansulate, Erenko Textile, a company that produces Walt Disney and other brands, has experienced reduction in total unit material production expenses by 10%, reduction in energy consumption by 20% and reduction in steam supply cycles from 24 to 2 injections in 60 minutes time period. Another textile manufacturer, Henateks Textile, has used the coating for its steam process system and the company has realized reduction in liquid natural gas consumption by 20%.
