Plastics Color (PCC), a global provider of colorants, compounds, additive masterbatches and custom polymer solutions for a wide range of sectors including consumer goods, medical, pharmaceuticals and others has acquired Polysource and an additive and color producer and distributor, Pinnacle Color.
Pinnacle Color, is based in Tempe, Arizona, and is a subsidiary of Polysource. The acquired businesses will be operating under the name Plastics Distribution Corporation (PDC) and becomes a totally-owned subsidiary of PCC.
The President of Plastic Color, Doug Borgsdorf stated that the acquisition of Polysource establishes PCC’s position in the liquid color market in North America and also offers a new distribution source for both new and existing products. It also provides PCC an immediate entry into the Mexican plastics manufacturing market via Polysource’s distributor network.
PCC is now manufacturing and distributing liquid colors from its facility located in Nanjing, China. PCC operates fully-equipped product development labs and manufacturing facilities in California, North Carolina, Illinois and Nanjing, China. The company also offers product development and testing services through its Solutions Center in Asheboro, North Carolina.
Craig Degnaro of Polysource stated that the company has been searching for a good business partner to enhance operations. Finally, partnership with PCC provides entry into a broader range of products, improved manufacturing capabilities and a bigger sales force.
