Industrial Nanotech, a global specialist in nanoscience solutions, has started to ship its patented Nansulate Translucent PT coating to Montaco.
The industrial contractor will use the insulation and corrosion control coating on fuel oil storage tanks installed at the Porto refinery, also referred to as Matosinhos refinery. The refinery is located in Portugal and is owned by Galp Energia. The value of the contract is more than $225,800.
Nansulate coating combines thermal barrier attributes with UV and moisture resistance and corrosion control properties. Thus, it is a superior insulation product offering durable and enduring solution with long-term reliability. The corrosion control coating from Industrial Nanotech is ideal for all types of refineries ranging from gas and oil to biodiesel and biofuel. It helps to reduce energy costs and decrease maintenance costs for the equipment at refineries.
Industrial Nanotech’s VP of Business Development, Francesca Crolley stated that this is their second major project at Galp Energia’s Porto refinery. The first order was successfully executed last year for insulating and preventing corrosion on an oil pipeline at the refinery. The current order for coating solutions will be employed to insulate and shield fuel oil storage tanks. Industrial Nanotech has currently secured requests for other biofuel and refinery project specifications based on the two Matosinhos refinery projects. Other project requests include one for 6000 m2 fuel storage tanks and another for 185,000 m3 bunkering terminal.
