Integral Technologies’ subsidiary, ElectriPlast has been selected by Think Wireless, a specialist in RF products, wireless technologies and antenna applications, as the exclusive provider of electrically conductive resins for use in its consumer satellite products.
Think Wireless has purchased new generation of antenna components made from ElectriPlast composites for use in its new line of SiriusXM Satellite Radio receivers.
Both the companies will jointly work to develop advanced technologies by integrating ElectriPlast series of conductive resins into Think Wireless’ next-generation wireless and antenna products and services. ElectriPlast has secured the first patent to employ highly conductive plastic materials for antenna applications.
The use of ElectriPlast conductive plastics helped Think Wireless to eliminate aluminum antenna in receivers and decrease total antenna size, while maintaining the performance. ElectriPlast’ line of conductive resins comprises more than 80 blends and it has a wide range of applications, including medical devices, capacitors, antennas and wire and power electronics. The materials are versatile, durable and weather resistant and they deliver additional functionality and lightweight composition. Engineers and designers in life sciences, heavy industry, lighting, automotive, military, aerospace, consumer electronics and other industries have shown interest in ElectriPlast resins, since they look for solutions to produce highly fuel efficient, portable and lighter products.
