Dow Chemical’s Performance Monomers business has reported that a plan of incremental extension has opened a further potential increase 15% of crude acrylic acid (CAA) capacity at its Texas-based Deer park facility.
Several upgrading projects were conducted in the CAA Oxidation facility that has resulted in the increase of capacity. These projects have involved the capacity increase and also improved consistency, superior technology and process safety. At present, worldwide strategic clients can be profited through reliable and continuous supply.
Performance Monomers’s global business manufacturing director, David Mongrue, has commented that the commitment of the company towards extending and developing the potential and ability of CAA continuously by a number of improvement and reliability projects across the manufacturing asset footprint globally.
