OMAX, a provider of precision-engineered, computer-controlled abrasive jet systems, will exhibit its 60120 JetMachining Center at AUSTECH 2012 event, which will be held in Sydney, Australia from May 8 to 11.
The abrasive waterjet machine is ideal for rapid, accurate and efficient cutting of large components and for multiple-part projects. The machine can produce complex parts from different materials, including composites, stone, ceramics, glass, plastic and metal. The 60120 delivers machine shops rapid turnarounds of precise parts without any complex fixturing or tool changes. In addition, the machine cuts even surface finishes and eliminates the requirement for secondary machining. In contrast to conventional machining operations, the OMAX 60120 enables the machinists to enjoy safe and clean processes without releasing oils, liquids and toxic gases.
The 60120 JetMachining Center is the smallest of OMAX’s bridge-style machines and it features Tilt-A-Jet cutting head and a 50 hp EnduroMAX pump. The EnduroMAX pump enhances the processing speeds and decreases the operating costs of the 60120 abrasivejet machine. Another feature of the machine, the Tilt-A-Jet cutting head allows OMAX’s abrasive waterjet machines to achieve nearly zero taper with almost all materials for precise cutting of parts using taper-free edges such as dove tail fittings and interlocking pieces. The OMAX 60120 also includes Intelli-TRAX, a high-precision, traction drive technology, which helps to attain maximum position accuracy. OMAX’s 60120 JetMachining Center is available with Intelli-MAX Software Suite which accurately evaluates the speed of a tool path at more than 2,000 points per inch. This allows complete control of the movement of an abrasivejet and enables quick, accurate machining. In addition, the software automates the majority of the programming and tool arrangement work.
