The Organic and Printed Electronics Association (OE-A) has announced that over 100 exhibitors will be showcasing their new products and applications at its Large-area, Organic and Printed Electronics Convention (LOPE-C), which will be held in Munich, Germany from June 19 to 21, 2012.
Messe Munich International also hosts the premier international conference, which addresses investors, manufacturers, engineers and end-users.
Dr. Stephan Kirchmeyer, OE-A’s Chairman, stated that a wide range of products based on organic and printed electronics, such as interactive print products, intelligent packaging, user interfaces and antennas in vehicles, touch screens, luminaires and ultrathin OLED TVs, are being launched into the market. Hybrid products that combine traditional electronic components and printed electronics are being developed.Thus, organic and printed electronics is progressively becoming an established technology, which allows new application and opens new market opportunities in the future, added Kirchmeyer.
Wolfgang Mildner, LOPE-C’s General Chair and PolyIC’s Managing Director, remarked that for the first time, they will be featuring live production techniques at a Demo Center in the exhibition. OE-A will be exhibiting several new applications that were designed during its annual Demonstrator Competition. Some of them include biosensors, electronic notepads, driver assistance sensors for vehicles and interactive advertisements.
