Dow Electronic Materials, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, today announced that it has received ON Semiconductor’s Perfect Quality Gold Award for 2012. Dow earned the award based on its perfect quality score for both 2011 and 2012 in ON Semiconductor’s FE Supplier Performance Rating as a supplier of chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) and lithography materials.
“This award is a testament to our focus on ensuring customer satisfaction,” said Jim Fahey, ST Global Business Director for Dow Electronic Materials. “At Dow, we consistently strive to meet the needs of our customers with the highest quality materials backed by strong collaboration and extensive service capabilities."
Edward Orr, Strategic Account Manager, and Kirk Brown, Technical Manager of Dow Electronic Materials accepted the award in a ceremony at ON Semiconductor. This is the second consecutive year that the Dow team has received this recognition. Dow's quality score was based on its support of ON Semiconductor at its U.S. locations in Gresham, Oregon and Pocatello, Idaho, as well as its international facilities in Belgium, the Czech Republic and Japan.
Dow serves the semiconductor and related industries with leading edge technology that supports the advancement of device shrinks and increased power for semiconductor devices. For CMP, the company offers materials for planarizing and polishing semiconductors, silicon wafers and storage media including hard and soft pads and unique slurries. In lithography, Dow supplies advanced photoresists to define circuit patterns on semiconductor wafers and anti-reflectants to help improve imaging step and electroplating chemistries as well as developers and other ancillary materials.
