Vishay Intertechnology Receives Award from Italian Association of Electronic Suppliers in Passives Category

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. today announced that the company has received an award from the Italian Association of Electronic Suppliers (ASSODEL) in the Passives category. Presented annually, the ASSODEL awards honor manufacturers in the electronics industry who demonstrate excellent product quality and collaboration with Italian customers and distribution partners.

Now in its 11th year, the ASSODEL Awards program recognizes manufacturers in nine product categories, in addition to a Best Manufacturer of the Electronics Market Award. Winners are selected based on recommendations from the electronics industry community, and through voting by a panel of judges based on technical, commercial, and logistics support, as well as communication and product quality.

Vishay was selected as an ASSODEL Award winner in the Passives category based on the company's wide product portfolio, extended R&D, and strategic acquisitions. This is the second time Vishay has been honored by the association.

The 2013 ASSODEL Awards were presented during a gala dinner at the Castello di Tolcinasco Golf Club in Milan. Bruno Palumbo, Francesco Pisanello, and Umberto Scordamaglia from Vishay's Italian sales team were on hand to accept the award.
