Thomson Reuters Honors Texas Instruments with 2013 Top 100 Global Innovator Award

Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) today announced the company has been named a Thomson Reuters 2013 Top 100 Global Innovator. The program, an initiative of the IP Solutions business of Thomson Reuters, honors corporations and institutions around the world that are consistently driving innovation. This is the second consecutive year TI has been recognized with this distinction.

"Innovation is the driving force behind TI and its analog and embedded processing technological developments," said Rich Templeton, chairman, president and chief executive officer of TI. "TI's employees are driven and dedicated to always innovating for the future. This award underscores our culture of innovation across the company and in all of our employees."

The Thomson Reuters 2013 Top 100 Global Innovator methodology is based on four principle criteria: overall patent volume, patent grant success rate, global reach of the portfolio and patent influence as evidenced by citations. The peer-reviewed methodology was executed using Thomson Reuters Derwent World Patents Index® (DWPI), Derwent Patents Citations Index™, Quadrilateral Patent Index™, and Thomson Innovation®, its IP and intelligence collaboration platform. Comparative financial analysis was done using the Thomson Reuters Advanced Analytics for Deal-Making platform. To view the full report, visit www.top100innovators.com
