Clariant Completes Sale of its Hydrosulfite Business

Clariant have announced that they have just completed the sale of their hydrosulfite business to Canadian-based Chemtrade Logistics Inc.

The sale worth US$62 million incorporates:

  • Production facility in South Carolina, USA
  • Production facility in Washington, USA
  • Sales office in North Carolina, USA
  • Sales office in Trois Rivieres, Canada

The hydrosulfite business produces sodium hydrosulfite which is mainly used for bleaching paper.
