Shin Etsu to Increase VCM Production Capacity

Japanese Chemical Producer Shin Etsu intend to expand the vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) production capacity of their Dutch plant Shin Etsu PVC B.V from 500,000 tons per annum to 600,000 tons per annum. The extra capacity is scheduled to come online in October of this year.

Once this work has been completed they also intend to increase production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

The expansion comes on the back of three years of solid production and sales. Areas where they see increased consumption in the future include window frames and water and sewage pipes.
