General Dynamics Win Contract to Supply Amunition to US Army

The U.S. Army Joint Munitions Command at Rock Island, Ill., has awarded General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems the first year of a multiple award contract with a total potential value of $74.6 for the production of 30mm PGU-15 A/B Target Practice Cartridges. General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is a business unit of General Dynamics.

The 30mm PGU-15 A/B is a low cost, target practice cartridge, ballistically matched to the PGU-13/B HEI combat round. Work on this contract will be performed at the company's Marion, Ill., facility and will be completed in October, 2008.
