Preparing samples 1 mm wide
FlipScribe and LatticeAx from LatticeGear can help prepare samples as narrow as 1 mm in width.
The FlipScribe with a small sample holder is used along with a lamp to light and magnify the sample. To obtain thin samples from a larger sample, it is first scribed along the entire length of the backside. Using the LatticeGear-designed small cleaving pliers, the sample is cleaved.
GC-SS-100 Small sample cleaving pliers
LatticeGear has developed small sample cleaving pliers to get around the limitations imposed by normal size pliers, which can be used to cleave after scribing with the FlipScribe or other scribes.
