Atofina has launched Durastrength 529, a new PVC acrylic modifier for exterior construction applications. Durastrength 529 combines the functions of an impact modifier and a process aid. It imparts outstanding impact resistance, in accordance with UK and German standards, while at the same time reducing the overall quantity of acrylic additives required.

Additionally, the rheological properties imparted to PVC ensure a broader processing window. This dual functionality is particularly useful in PVC formulations where high proportions of fillers and fast production speeds represent considerable constraints. Durastrength 529 is specifically aimed at the window profile extrusion market.
