The Environics® Series 7000 Zero Air Generators (ZAGs) are advanced, pure air generator systems that can continuously deliver up to 20 standard liters per minute (SLPM), 30 pounds per square inch (PSI) of dry and contaminant-free air.
The Zero Air Generators generate ultra high purity zero grade air either as a powerful stand-alone unit or from an existing compressed air source. The air provides an ideal method for producing zero reference calibration gas, ultra-pure combustion air for flame ionization detector, and service air for general laboratory use, hydrocarbon free chromatography use, and pneumatically operated valves.
Irrespective of location, ZAG’s output offers a stable and repeatable air supply for comparable results thus making it suitable for mobile laboratories. The use of a generator also prevents the need for gas cylinders, making it less expense, more convenient, and safer.
A color-changing moisture indicator is provided in the Zero Air Generator that alerts users to the presence of water vapor. If there is water vapor, the indicator will change from white to blue color. Once the water vapor is removed, the indicator will change to its white color. In addition, a dual pressure regulation is included in the ZAG for improved performance.

Recommended ZAG Maintenance Schedule
Assuming average conditions and use, the recommended maintenance cost comes to around $200 per year.
In order to ensure that the ZAG operates at the highest level, Environics proposes the following maintenance schedule, assuming average use and conditions of the system.
- The output and input particle filters should be replaced every year
- The pollution scrubber/converter as well as the secondary scrubber media should be replaced every year
- Fan filter should be cleaned by blowing out the filter every month
As a reminder, care must be taken to ensure that the drain is free from obstructions. Users can connect a line to the drain port and route to a water collection container.
