The EM-40 represents COXEM's latest addition to their expanding family of Tabletop SEMs.
The EM-40 comes with ultra-fast 5th-generation signal processing technology and provides high-quality imaging at frame rates of up to 13 fps. Four imaging modes (Fast, Slow, UltraFast, and Photo) allow the user to choose the image quality and speed that best fits their application.
Available with both SE and a 4-quadrant BSE detector, the EM-40 allows operators to view either detector individually, side-by-side, or as a composite image, providing a comprehensive understanding of chemistry and microstructure.
A built-in digital camera facilitates sample loading and navigation, while a spacious stage with motorized X, Y, and Z axes accommodates a wide range of sample sizes. An EDS system is also available, and COXEM continues to offer the only Tabletop SEM that can accommodate EBSD.
Driven by NanoStation 5.0 software, the EM-40 comes with a collection of automated functions that streamline operation and aid new users in attaining consistent outcomes, while sophisticated image analysis tools such as line profile analysis help users to precisely determine particle size when operating at the nanoscale.
An optional STEM detector enables the EM-40 to conduct TEM analysis on samples using standard TEM grids, and the optional CoolStage extends the analysis capabilities to samples ranging from -25 °C to 50 °C.
