With a maximum of 4,000 frames per second for large active areas, DECTRIS PILATUS®4 photon-counting X-Ray detectors provide extraordinary pace. Integrating with highly efficient direct detection, they facilitate quick measurements via their large angular coverage with a pixel resolution of 150 µm.
The selection of a silicon sensor or cadmium telluride for ideal quantum efficiency at the photon energy range and uninterrupted readout with nearly no count-loss between frames contribute to the outstanding total detection efficiency. The optional vacuum compatibility of silicon-based detectors attains the perfect compatibility for long, in-vacuum SAXS setups.
The recent photon-counting technology, which comes with DECTRIS Instant Retrigger®, facilitates a maximum count-rate capacity of over 107 ph/s/pixel and perfectly pairs with an image bit depth (dynamic range) of up to 32 bits. At contemporary beamlines, this will enable the users to benefit entirely from the increasing photon fluxes.
PILATUS4 comes fully calibrated, provides four adjustable energy thresholds, and facilitates double gating in pump-probe experiments. It is seamless to combine with its dependable SIMPLON API control and data interface that supports low-latency data streaming. This makes PILATUS4 a sophisticated, multipurpose, and future-proof detector for the beamline.
- Large and fast: Even for the largest, 4 M-pixel active area, PILATUS4 provides a frame rate of up to 4000 Hz.
- Reliable and stable: The DECTRIS detector has a stable performance, robust controls and data interfaces, and high-class global support.
- Continuous readout: There is no signal loss between frames in time-resolved, in situ, or scanning experiments.
