AvaLight-HAL-S-Mini: Precision Wavelength Control in a Compact and Versatile Halogen Light Source

The AvaLight-HAL-S-Mini excels in Avantes' halogen light range using visible light to near-infrared. With its adjustable fiber connection focusing feature, the AvaLight-HAL-S-Mini is a small, stabilized halogen light source that maximizes output power at the specified wavelength.

This adaptable light source features an electrical power output that can be adjusted to provide more power or a longer lifespan for the lightbulb.

The AvaLight-HAL-S-Mini has a front filter slot that can hold a 1” round or a 2” × 2′” square filter to block certain wavelength ranges or quickly reduce intensity.

The AvaLight-HAL-S-Mini's adjustable focus ensures that all the power is passed through the optical fiber, allowing it to get the most out of the light source. Replacing a bulb only takes a few minutes and is a simple process.

An optional combination direct-attach cuvette holder and attenuator (CUV-ATT-DA-HAL) is available. The in-line attenuator (ATT-INL) or in-line filter holder (FH-INLINE) can also be used for attenuation.

Customers can use the spectrometer or a dongle on the rear to regulate the optical output. At its lowest setting, the lightbulb has a color temperature of 2647 K, but it lasts far longer.

With a bulb lifetime of 2000 hours, the standard or medium setting offers approximately 30% more power and modifies the color temperature to 2759 K. With a shorter bulb lifetime, the high-power setting produces a color temperature of 2879 K or around 70% more power than the long-life level.

Users may operate the internal TTL shutter of the AvaLight-HAL-S-Mini using the AvaSpec spectrometer. This enables the utilization of the AvaSoft spectroscopic software's automatic save dark feature.
