MPS 320 Microwave Digestion System

PerkinElmer's MPS 320™ microwave digestion system is compatible with PerkinElmer's AA, ICP-OES, and ICP-MS instruments and can handle various sample matrices and applications. It is dependable and simple to use. It offers a closed-vessel digestion option, required when working with volatile materials, or innovative, user-friendly, high-throughput auto-venting containers, which enable digestion to continue when a predetermined pressure is achieved.

Users can also choose between four alternative rotor configurations based on their needs. This is in addition to cutting-edge temperature/pressure management and several unique safety features.

Overview

The MPS 320 microwave system is available in different configurations:

  • With MR-85 auto-venting vessels (85 mL volume) in 16-position or 32-position rotors, which is ideal for high-throughput third-party testing laboratories that require: quick sample-to-sample conversion to increase the number of samples per batch; high operating efficiency and quick learning due to ease of usage; minimal operating costs to optimize profit per sample
  • With MR-50 permanently sealed vessels in a 16-position rotor, perfect for cannabis testing and other third-party lab applications in which data integrity and reproducibility are critical, and where the ability to handle different applications per rotor is valuable.
  • With MR-100 permanently sealed high pressure vessels in an 8-position rotor, ideal for industrial applications that require digestion of difficult samples, such as oils and polymers.

The MPS 320 microwave digestion system has additional special characteristics, including:

  • Each vessel has dependable temperature (DTC) and pressure (DPC) control to provide precise and consistent results
  • Two types of venting indicators
  • Top-loading design and fume-collection system to ensure safe operation
  • Software that is intuitive and can be controlled remotely for users of different levels of digestion expertise
  • 21 CFR Part 11 software option for regulated laboratories
  • Reliable vessels with guaranteed protection for economical sample preparation
