Overview
The NexION 1100 is a single-analyzer ICP-MS with three quad-design and a single gas channel. It boasts a unique mix of exclusive technology.
- Proprietary three-quad design offers three phases of mass resolution:
- The Quadrupole Ion Deflector (Q0) sends ions to the Universal Cell (Q1) at varying voltages, maximizing target ion sensitivity while reducing undesired masses
- The Quadrupole Universal Cell (Q1) is equipped with one cell gas channel as standard, with the option of upgrading to three channels with on-the-fly gas mixing for Collision and Reaction mode
- The Transmission Analyzer Quadrupole (Q2, full-sized for < 0.7 amu mass resolution) functions as a mass filter or ion guide, directing ions to the detector
- Users can quickly switch between modes without changing gas with a single gas channel. It uses helium exclusively for the Collision mode or a mix of helium and hydrogen for the Reaction and Collision modes, offering a universal solution for most applications. The single gas channel can also accommodate pure reaction gases, which can be extended to two or three channels for even more interference removal capability.
- The proprietary Extended Dynamic Range (EDR) enhances linear dynamic range to 1014, enabling the simultaneous analysis of high- and low-concentration analytes, resulting in fewer re-runs
- The powerful All Matrix Solution (AMS) allows for online gas dilution, which improves efficiency and prevents contamination. It can give up to 200x dilution and support samples with up to 35% total dissolved solids
- The novel free-running RF Generator with a unique LumiCoil™ RF load coil is specifically intended for ICP-MS applications, providing precise impedance matching to readily handle the most demanding matrices and solvents. This unique combination provides better plasma power and stability, resulting in unrivaled performance, robustness, and dependability
- Low maintenance for increased uptime:
- The Triple Cone Interface and Quadrupole Ion Deflector combination requires no maintenance beyond the cones, allowing for continuous operation and greater stability
- The 34 MHz free-running RF Generator provides a trouble-free user experience since the plasma is created by the unique LumiCoil RF load coil, which does not require water or gas cooling, making it maintenance-free and removing the need to replace plasma load coils
- The innovative LCD touchscreen enables users to do key daily operations such as hardware control, results reviews, instrument parameter diagnostics, analytics, access to integrated training films, and more
- External status LED lighting increases efficiency in the laboratory by making the state of analysis easily visible
- With a new FastQuant™ Data Viewer for simpler review, reprocessing, and exporting, and a new database backend for simpler LIMS connectivity, Syngistix™ for ICP-MS software v.4.0 or above elevates the user experience.
