HEATCON Composite Systems, a provider of repair equipment, repair material sales and technical services for the composite repair industry, has strengthened its relationship with Hexcel, a supplier of advanced composites, by signing another agreement for the supply of specialized materials.

New EPSRC Industrial Doctorate Centre in Composite Manufacture Located in Bristol, UK.

A new activity integral to the EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Composites (EPSRC Centre) will be supporting over 30 EngD programmes, of four years duration, where selected Research Engineers will undertake specialist training and conduct an industrially focused research project, spending 75% of their time at a company.

Zachary Melrose, who is pursuing a doctoral mechanical engineering degree at the University of Delaware (UD), has received a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship to sponsor his doctoral research on developing multipurpose structural composites by selectively integrating nanomaterials to composites.

Royal Air Force Selects FIREROK Cement for its V-22 Osprey Aircraft Project

The Royal Air Force (RAF) has selected FIREROK cement from CERATECH for application in its V-22 Osprey aircraft project, which is performed at RAF Mildenhall located in Suffolk, England. The high thermal resistant, durable cement will be used for the construction of Osprey’s concrete apron and hardstand.
