Rare Type of Superconductivity Observed in Magic-Angle Twisted Trilayer Graphene

( Massachusetts Institute of Technology ) MIT physicists have observed signs of a rare type of superconductivity in a material called "magic-angle" twisted trilayer graphene. They report that the material exhibits superconductivity at surprisingly high magnetic fields of up to 10 Tesla, which is three times higher than what the material is predicted to endure if it were a conventional superconductor.

Researchers Make Mn4+-Activated Red Phosphors Without Rare Earth Materials

Hiromi Nakano, a professor from the Toyohashi University of Technology, utilized a material exhibiting a special periodical structure (smart material: Li-M-Ti-O [M = Nb or Ta]) as a host material for making new Mn4+-activated phosphors that displays red light emissions at a wavelength of 685 nm when excited at 493 nm.
