GKN Aerospace Receive Top Shop Award

GKN Aerospace Chem-tronics, Aviation Repair in El Cajon, CA, has received a OneAero Top Shop Award in the category of "Engine Overhaul & Repair". This award recognises that the Company is providing the aviation industry with "superior customer support, exceptional turn-around-times and competitive repair pricing".

These awards are made to companies that are nominated by their peers - professionals drawn from across the global industry. OneAero began soliciting nominations for these awards late in 2007 when over 8000 industry professionals were invited to participate by providing names of repair facilities that they felt offered excellent customers service, quality repair workmanship, turn-times, and competitive pricing structures.

"This is very valuable recognition of the commitment and dedication of the team at El Cajon who have achieved real business growth over the past two to three years as a result of the excellence of the service they offer," comments Steve Pearl, Vice President and General Manager, Aviation Repair, GKN Aerospace. "Across the aftermarket operation of GKN Aerospace as a whole, which covers our engines, aerostructures and transparencies businesses, the Company has set a goal to significantly grow our business to serve the increasing demand and needs of aircraft operators. The Chem-tronics operation is a key element in meeting those growth objectives and is one of a number of initiatives underway across GKN Aerospace, such as the recently announced opening of a dedicated MRO facility in the UK."

Justin Spalding, President of OneAero comments: "We present this award to those companies who lead by example, in going the extra mile to improve efficiencies within the maintenance sector of our industry. The companies chosen for this award were selected by their peers, which is one of the greatest compliments one can receive."

This is the first time OneAero has presented these Top Shop Awards, which are being presented to fifteen repair centres from around the world for their role in providing the aviation industry with "superior customer support, exceptional turn-around-times and competitive repair pricing".
