DuPont Printed Circuit Materials, part of DuPont Electronic Technologies, celebrates the 40th anniversary of DuPont™ Riston® dry film photoresist this year, as it introduces new offerings for the fine feature imaging of printed wiring boards (PWBs). DuPont™ Riston® dry film photoresist revolutionized the way printed circuit boards were fabricated when it was invented by DuPont 40 years ago.
Since that time, a broad portfolio of Riston® films has been developed for use in every major PWB application, and the brand has consistently led the market as technology demands and processes have evolved. The newest additions to the portfolio include DuPont™ Riston® LDI7000 Laser Direct Imaging dry film photoresist for direct imaging tent-and-etch applications, and DuPont™ Riston® PlateMaster 300 dry film photoresist, designed for fine feature pattern plating. More new Riston® films will be introduced later this year.
