Tenova to Supply State-of-the-Art Carbon Baking Furnaces to Chinese Customer

Sinosteel Advanced Materials (Zhejiang) Co. Ltd and Tenova LOI Italimpianti, together with LOI Thermprocess (Tianjin) Co Ltd. for local manufacturing, have recently signed a contract for the turn-key supply of three (3) car bottom type furnaces and one central incinerator system to be installed at Sinosteel Advanced Materials (Zhejiang) Co. Ltd in Zhejiang Province, P.R. China.

The furnaces will be used for baking process of fine grain carbon blocks to be further graphitized and used in the single crystal silicon pulling market.

The furnaces represent the state of the art technology in the field of baking and re- baking processes for carbon blocks. Each furnace has a gross capacity of maximum 450 tons and is fired by means of min/max burners system.

The three furnaces are connected to a central incinerator in order to cope with the pollution standard required.
