Dow Corning was presented with an Innovation in Technology Award by the Aberdeen Group at the annual Chief Procurement Officer Summit held in Boston, MA. The award recognizes companies that maximize available technology to solve pressing business issues and positively impact business results.

Dow Corning was noted for its implementation of the Ariba sourcing tool, and the productivity gains generated by its use. The sourcing tool is designed to help companies manage spending to increase cost savings and achieve business efficiency.

"There are only six annual awards like this offered in the procurement profession with several contenders for each," said Heidi Landry-Chan, Dow Corning Vice President for Procurement and Logistics. "I am very pleased that our work at Dow Corning is gaining recognition and look forward to many similar successes in the future."
