ATI to Present Characterization Results of New Titanium Alloy at Aeromat 2010

Allegheny Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: ATI) will present the results of its year-long program to characterize its new titanium alloy in a series of papers at the Aeromat 2010 Conference and Exposition in Bellevue, WA, on June 22, 2010.

Four papers by ATI metallurgists will be presented in an ATI 425® Alloy session during the Titanium Alloys and Processing Technologies program at the global aerospace materials conference. These papers represent the technical unveiling of ATI 425® Alloy to the aerospace materials technology community.

The papers include: characterization of the mechanical properties of the new alloy by Dr. Erin McDevitt; development of ATI 425® Alloy sheet by Dr. Luis Ruiz-Aparicio; development of plate products by John Mantione; and development of long products by Dr. David Bryan.

A final talk in the session was developed by ATI metallurgists to present the performance data of the Company’s biomedical alloys to evaluate their potential to offer creative solutions for aerospace design challenges.

ATI also announced the creation of www.ati425alloy.com, a web site featuring the full specifications and technical data sheets developed for the new titanium alloy.

ATI Aerospace will also feature ATI 425® Alloy products at its display during the show.
