WMC Comments on Speculation About a Takeover Bid

WMC is aware of various reports in today's press that speculate about possible takeover offers being made for WMC.

As a matter of policy, WMC does not comment on press speculation. However, in response to a request from the ASX, WMC can confirm that it is not in receipt of any takeover offer or merger proposal, other than as previously disclosed to the ASX.

WMC will continue to keep its shareholders fully informed and a further announcement will be made in the event of any material developments.
