Adchem Releases Bonding Study on Adhesive Tapes for BioFoam Products

Adchem Corporation, a major supplier of adhesive tapes for the automotive and industrial markets, has issued a bonding study of adhesive tape systems for new environmentally friendly BioFoam™ plant-based polyurethane products by Woodbridge Foam Corporation.

The study of 20 adhesive tapes bonded to BioFoam™ products includes Adchem's new Low VOC transfer tape 6943.  The new Low VOC tape complies with the limits defined by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and agreed upon by the Japanese Automobile Manufacturers Association.

New Low VOC tapes

The choice of Woodbridge environmentally friendly foams and Adchem Low VOC tapes will be valuable to converters and fabricators who are tasked with offering "green" alternatives.  Adchem's 6943 adhesive tape is a 3-mil acrylic transfer tape.  The product is available 54" wide with a lay-flat, moisture resistant, 74# Polycoated Kraft liner.

Adchem's double-coated, single-coated and unsupported adhesive tape systems coupled with its advanced engineering capabilities enables Adchem to develop high performance adhesive tapes for the most demanding applications.
