SEMI Europe Lifetime Achievement Award Presented to Peter Woditsch

SEMI / PV Group Europe announced today that Peter Woditsch, former CEO of Deutsche Solar and current CEO of Sunicon AG, has received the SEMI Europe Lifetime Achievement Award. The award was presented during SEMICON Europa 2010.

Prof. Dr. Peter Woditsch has 40 years of experience with Bayer AG and SolarWorld AG in a variety of key positions. Woditsch founded Bayer Solar Lim in 1994 in Freiberg, Saxony. In 2000, it was acquired by SolarWorld AG and renamed Deutsche Solar AG. Woditsch was Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Solar until July 2009. Since 2007, he has been the CEO of Sunicon AG, an affiliate of SolarWorld, responsible for silicon feedstock supply and recycling in the photovoltaic business. He holds a doctorate degree in chemistry from the University of Erlangen and gave lectures as a professor at the University of Münster in industrial inorganic chemistry.
