MVR, a manufacturer of high performance sustainable plastic resins, today announced the acquisition of the assets of NextLife™, a leading provider of sustainable solutions for the consumer packaged goods industry.
Through the acquisition of NextLife, MVR will have the ability to leverage its increasingly prominent brand and make available its suite of sustainable packaging services to brand owners interested in turn-key solutions.
NextLife offers a full suite of services and solutions for brand owners interested in developing sustainable packaging for their products, including post consumer recycled (PCR) resin sourcing, product life cycle assessments (LCA), sustainable package design, product-marketing support and the development of retail-based closed-loop recycling programs. All NextLife packaging contains 25% to 100% PCR materials and includes proprietary FDA approved grades. In addition, all materials are certified via a 3rd party LCA, assuring customers and brand owners peace of mind when substantiating environmental claims.
“We are excited about this acquisition because NextLife has established itself as a strong brand and leading sustainable solutions provider in the consumer packaged goods industry,” said Ronald Whaley, president and CEO of MVR. “We have built a reputation providing high quality sustainable PCR resins to consumers, and the addition of NextLife will broaden the value proposition we can bring to our customers and accelerate the pace at which brand owners understand and are able to implement sustainable solutions, including new opportunities for our line of sustainable resins.”
MVR has been expanding its manufacturing footprint to meet the growing need for sustainable plastic resins. The company recently opened a new facility in Frankfort, Kentucky and announced plans to open another facility in Michigan.
