Unicep Packaging, Inc. today announced it has expanded its single use packaging options with the addition of their DualDose™ Modified Blow-Fill-Seal package.
“UPI's DualDose™ system is designed to keep two components separate until the point of use. When the user bends the outer tube to snap the inside vial, the two components become mixed,” Les Greer, UPI’s Senior Packaging Engineer, said. “The mixed components are then dispensed by twisting the tip of the outer tube off and squeezing.” The vials are manufactured with UPI’s proprietary in-line modified BFS process utilizing recyclable resins. The outer tube can be pre-printed to meet customer's product marketing needs. They view their newer packaging designs, such as DualDose™, as applicable to a wide range of products, particularly as many market segments such as Medical Device, OTC drugs, Personal Care & Cosmetics and Veterinary are moving to single use packaging options. Along with innovative packaging, UPI offers R&D, formulation, mixing, filling and a variety of other packaging options.
