Shiner International, Inc. (Nasdaq: BEST) ("Shiner" or the "Company"), an emerging global supplier of anti-counterfeiting and advanced packaging products, today announced that it has received three honors from the China Packaging Federation, a national organization dedicated to promoting the sustained growth and development of China's packaging industry.
Shiner won the 2010 China Packaging Brand Excellence Award, which recognizes outstanding Chinese packaging companies. Nominees were evaluated based upon their financial performance, internal quality assurance standards, product quality, manufacturing safety record, and brand recognition.
Shiner was also named one of the Top 100 Packaging Corporations in China. The criteria considered in evaluating nominees were financial performance, size and scope of operations, and publicly traded status for fiscal year 2009. Additionally, the Company received third place in the 2010 China Packaging Technological Innovation Contest for its acrylic coated films, which are primarily used to package foods, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and other consumer goods.

The winners were announced at the 7th Council of the China Packaging Federation, held December 8 and 9, 2010 in Hainan Province, China. The meeting, which also celebrated the 30th anniversary of the China Packaging Federation's establishment, took place at the headquarters of the Boao Forum for Asia, a nonprofit organization focused on advancing the development goals of Asian countries. Mr. Keith Pearson, president of the World Packaging Organization, and Mr. Wanpeng Shi, president of the China Packaging Federation, attended the event.
