Stephen Gould Relocates its Headquarters to Lakemont Industrial Park

The largest privately-held packaging company in the U.S. has relocated and expanded its regional headquarters with the lease of 40,000 square feet in Lakemont Industrial Park.

The office had previously been located at Brookwood in smaller space. The new regional headquarters joins Stephen Gould's existing 122,000-square-feet fulfillment center in Lakemont, which is leased and managed by Crescent Resources.

"We moved and expanded for a number of reasons," said Chris Garvey, regional director of Stephen Gould Corporation. "We needed additional room for our growth, and the increased efficiencies and logistics of being close by our fulfillment center was very appealing. We've been leasing our fulfillment center from Crescent for the past seven or eight years. Through that experience, we were very familiar with Crescent's outstanding property management service and attention to detail. We are glad they could accommodate our regional headquarters at Lakemont."

"We are always pleased to help satisfied tenants expand," said Ned Austin, vice president of Crescent Resources' commercial division in Charlotte. "Stephen Gould is an excellent company with an outstanding reputation. Lakemont is a great location to further the company's growth."

Austin represented Crescent and Tom Kelly and John Kelly of Cassidy Turley represented Stephen Gould in the transaction. Stephen Gould's new regional headquarters is located in the Lakemont West One building.

At 864 acres, Lakemont Business Park will ultimately accommodate 10 million square-feet of business space. Over the last several years, numerous companies, including Muzak, Staples, Black & Decker, and T.J. Maxx, have selected Lakemont for build-to-suit or for lease facilities. Located on the North Carolina-South Carolina border on I-77 within two miles of I-485 and 15-minutes from the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Lakemont Business Park offers access to all major forms of transportation.
