Air Liquide Industrial U.S., a global supplier of industrial gases, equipment and services to customers in industrial merchant, electronics, large industries and healthcare markets, has celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony to construct a new nitrogen liquefier at its Cleburne, Texas-based air separation plant.
The air separation facility produces argon, nitrogen and oxygen and it serves a wide range of markets, including chemicals, oil and gas, electronics, glass, manufacturing and food and beverage. Current expansion of the company’s Cleburne facility will support the market growth and create jobs in the region.
The installation of an additional liquefier will allow the company to approximately double the supply of gases from its facility to the Oklahoma and Texas merchant markets. The new unit will commence commercial production in the third quarter of 2012. Air Liquide has received support from the local community for the expansion of the Cleburne plant.
Air Liquide’s President, Mark Lostak stated that the expansion of the Cleburne plant capacity further develops the company’s market footprint as they focus to address the growing demand of merchant clients in Oklahoma and Texas. Air Liquide has planned to increase the number of employees in Cleburne operation to support the expanded production capacity.
