Chinese Steel Processing Company Exports Cold-Rolled Steel to India and Turkey

A value-added steel processing company, China Gerui Advanced Materials Group, has started to export its wide strip and narrow strip high precision chromium-plated steel to clients in India and Turkey. Till date, products exported by the company include high precision wide- and narrow-strip cold-rolled strip steel.

These products are utilized as insulation steel tape for manufacturing cables and wires. The average thickness of the steel products is 0.15 mm and their width ranges from 610 to 810 mm.

Mr. Mingwang Lu, Chairman and CEO of China Gerui, stated that the exports to India and Turkey promise high potential growth in the telecommunications sector, which is one of the company’s major end-user applications. The exporting activities of China Gerui commenced in the second quarter of 2012 and are expected to expand the company’s revenue base. Thus, the company can gain global exposure to its quality products and capacities. Additionally, the exporting activities demonstrate the quality and brand awareness of China Gerui’s products and also serve as a key channel for its recently enhanced production capabilities, added Mingwang Lu.

The company believes that its focus on high-end specialized steel has allowed it to reach beyond the local market. In addition, the start of exporting activities is an effective way to continue to deliver attractive returns on capital being invested.

China Gerui has planned to implement additional strategies to optimize the application of its value-added production technology and enter the specialized steel market globally.
