Twin Rivers Expands its Specialty Packaging with Acadia Natural

Twin Rivers Paper, a manufacturer of lightweight specialty packaging, label and publishing papers, has announced that it has introduced a recyclable and compostable paper called Acadia Natural. The new paper is made from unbleached pulp. This latest release further strengthens the company’s commitment towards sustainable packaging.

The company has specifically designed this paper to provide a natural substrate for use in packaging applications like basket liners, fast-food sandwich wraps, carry-out and french fry bags.

Acadia Natural paper is an optimal solution for food service, quick serve restaurant (QSR), and retail food applications, which require sustainability and high performance. It is also available in OGR version and is resistant to grease and oil. Both products provide exceptional convertability, runnability and printability to packaging applications.

Twin Rivers Paper’s Director of Business Development and Marketing, Dave Deger stated that this new paper is a natural substitute for packaging papers. It is a perfect choice for companies who wish to implement sustainable packaging.

Sustainability contributes in shaping the operations, processes and products of the company. Significant advancements have been made in the company to minimize its ecological footprint. All papers have obtained FSC certification and the SFI fiber sourcing program standards.
