Scienscope International, a leading American supplier of cabinet-style micro-focus X-ray systems, received a 2023 CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY NPI Award in the category of Automation Tools for its AXI-5100c III Component Counting System with automatic loader, printer and conveyor. The award was announced in San Diego during a ceremony on Monday, Jan. 23, 2023.
The Scienscope AXI 5100c is an automated, fast, accurate component counting machine designed to increase productivity. The latest model offers an automatic loader, printer and conveyor, docking with AGV, as well as automatic continuous feeding and positioning.
The Scienscope AXI 5100c uses a very low-power tube and a large flat panel to acquire the component X-ray image. The AI software will count the quantity accurately without any parameter adjustment. A wide range of components, including 01005s and tall components, are supported without changing hardware thanks to an industrial motion control system that automatically sets the X-ray tube and image detector to various heights and magnifications. Components are counted in the reels, and an extensive database of common component types is included. New component types are easy to add through a graphic, intuitive interface.
Introduced in 2008, the NPI Awards program is an annual celebration of product excellence in electronics surface mount assembly. A distinguished panel of industry experts chooses exclusive products based on the finest examples of creative technological advancement.
Scienscope component counters can help save time, save money, reduce labor, and avoid the dreaded “line down” scenario due to the lack of a component.
