Republic Technologies Plant and Pittsburgh Tool Steels Operations to be Combined

After having purchased the dormant Republic Technologies plant in Beaver County in June, BVV Acquisitions have just acquired Pittsburgh Tool Steel for an undisclosed price.

BVV’s intention is to combine the two operations into a single company Keystone Profiles that will be located at the Republic Technologies site in Beaver Falls.

Equipment from the Pittsburgh Tool Steel’s plant will be moved to the Beaver Falls site over the following months, with production trials scheduled to commence in August. At this time they expect to employ about 40-45 persons.

Keystone Profiles will have cold finishing steel capabilities as well as capacity to cold drawn shapes in various profiles. Products will service a range of industries from aerospace to power generation, all the way through to medical applications.

Keystone profiles will also start life with the existing client base from Pittsburgh Tool Steels, while many of Republic Technologies customers are also keen to start buying products again, after they closed their doors.
