Cabot Completes Expansion of Chinese Coking Plant

Cabot Corp have completed the expansion works to their carbon black plant in Shanghai.

The expansion provides them with an additional 50,000 metric tonnes worth of capacity, with the plant now capable of 130,000 tonnes annually.

The carbon black plant, which trades as Shanghai Cabot Chemical Co, is a joint venture between Cabot Corp and Shanghai Coking Co. Ltd.

The expansion demonstrates Cabot’s commitment to the Chinese market. This is further backed up by their formation of a holding company Cabot (China) Ltd, which will manage all of Cabot’s businesses, investments and resources in China.
