Sialon Ceramics for Improved Efficiency

Silicon nitride and zirconia for many years have been the unsung heroes of advanced ceramic engineering. In this short presentation, Ben Melrose, Technical Director at International Syalons presents Internationals Syalons and introduce some of these ceramics, and discusses some of their outstanding high-temperature properties, a range of applications and a few case studies. Topics such as efficiency, and how ceramics can be used to improve efficiency, a few case studies, and then a few tips for designing with ceramics, as well as where International Syalons see the future of ceramics going will be discussed.
