Introduction

Brass is a term that refers to a wide range of copper-zinc alloys with different properties that include machinability, strength, hardness, wear-resistance, ductility, corrosion-resistance, antimicrobial, electrical and thermal conductivity and color.

Brasses are available in a wide range of colors such as yellow, red, silver and gold etc. These colored brasses, which can be easily shaped, are used by designers and architects in order to improve the inside and outside appearances of buildings.

UNS C23000 brass alloys are red in color and stronger than C22000 alloys. The following datasheet provides an overview of UNS C23000 red brass alloys.
